NPSH Calculations

NPSH

Calculate the Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH) available in a system based on its location, tank height, suction pipe details and type of fluid being pumped.

Input the margin of safety and it will calculate the maximum NPSH required by the pump

For suction lift conditions enter a negative value for Suction level

Click on the Lookup button to calculate the site specific atmospheric pressure and vapour pressure of the fluid.

Atmospheric Pressure

Calculate the atmospheric pressure for a pump site based on its altitude

Water Vapour Pressure

Calculate vapour pressure for water based on its temperature. This term is important when calculating the NPSH available in a pumping system and becomes significant for water temperatures of 40 deg and higher
